Nurture a child’s first five years by:Â
- Creating a culture of support within the school for staff, families and children

Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of the school
- Recruit, hire, develop, and retain outstanding teachers and staff
- Ensure excellence in the implementation of the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum
- Build strong relationships with families and create an exceptional family experienceÂ
- Drive enrollment growth and community engagement
- Maintain compliance with all Primrose standards and Virginia licensing regulations
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing school culture
- Partner closely with ownership to support the successful opening and growth of the school
Required Qualifications
- Must meet Virginia Child Day Center Program Director qualifications
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Minimum three years of leadership experience in a licensed early childhood education setting
- Â Virginia child care licensing experience required
- Demonstrated knowledge of Virginia Child Day Center licensing regulations, compliance requirements, staff-to-child ratios, record keeping, inspections, and health and safety standards
- Experience successfully maintaining compliance with state licensing requirements and preparing for licensing visits and audits
- Strong understanding of staffing, scheduling, enrollment management, and school operations
- Proven ability to recruit, develop, coach, and retain high-performing teams
- Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to build positive partnerships with families, staff, community partners, and regulatory agencies
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field
- Previous experience as a School Director or Assistant Director in a licensed child care center
- Experience opening a new school or supporting a new school launch
- Experience with Procare or similar child care management software
- Â Primrose experience preferred but not required
Salary - $55,000/based on experienceÂ
