Loftis Middle is a 6-8 school located in Hixson, TN,  just north of Chattanooga.  Our work ethic and attention to detail is what keeps Loftis performing as a Level 5 and Reward School year after year.  

Teachers at Loftis have a deep understanding of how to use data to inform instruction, how to plan with intentionality, and how to work closely with both horizontal and vertical teams to meet the needs of students. • Plan, deliver, and assess effective instruction aligned to Tennessee state standards
• Design engaging lessons with clear objectives and measurable outcomes
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
• Collaborate regularly with colleagues and support staff
• Build strong, respectful relationships with students and families
• Create a well-managed, structured classroom environment
• Participate in ongoing professional development and reflection

• Bachelor's degree required
• Valid Tennessee teaching license in 6-8 Science, 6-12 Science OR current enrollment in an accredited teacher preparation program

• Compensation & Additional Info:

  • Salary Scale based on education and experience – starting at $50,000.00
  • Eligible positions may qualify for additional pay under the Differentiated Compensation Plan
