Director, Indirect Sourcing

The Director, Indirect Sourcing will provide enterprise-wide leadership for the Strategic Procurement function, setting procurement strategy, governance, and operating standards across indirect categories. Directs supervisors, and senior procurement specialists to deliver supplier performance, contracting discipline, cost optimization, and risk management in support of business objectives. Serves as a senior advisor to executive leadership on supplier portfolio decisions, sourcing strategy, organizational design, and procurement transformation. Accountable for functional outcomes, cross-functional alignment, and the continuous maturation of procurement capabilities, tools, and processes.

JOB DUTIES:

• Direct enterprise procurement strategy for indirect categories, aligning sourcing priorities, governance, and operating standards with business objectives.
• Lead and develop managers, supervisors, and senior procurement specialists, including organization design, talent planning, and succession readiness.
• Oversee supplier portfolio management, strategic sourcing direction, and category plans to improve cost, service, quality, and risk outcomes.
• Establish and maintain procurement policies, contracting standards, and approval frameworks in partnership with Legal, Finance, and Business Leadership.
• Advise senior executives on category strategy, supplier decisions, risk mitigation, and value delivery through executive presentations and business reviews.
• Drive functional transformation through process standardization, digital tools, analytics, and operating model improvements.
• Monitor functional performance, key metrics, and financial outcomes to ensure procurement delivers measurable business value.
• Resolve escalated supplier, contracting, and governance issues that require cross-functional alignment and executive judgment.

YOU MUST HAVE:

• 10+ years of progressive indirect procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience, including leadership responsibility at the director level. 
• 5+ years experience leading supervisors, and senior professionals across multiple procurement categories or functions.
• Demonstrated success developing and executing enterprise or multi-year sourcing strategies with measurable business impact.
• Strong background in supplier governance, contract oversight, risk management, and cross-functional executive partnership.
