Job Summary

The Parking Attendant provides customer service to patrons and facilitates the flow of traffic through the gate by performing the following duties listed below.

 

Job Responsibilities 

 

  1. Essential Job Duties
  • Provides directions to customers for various locations in the city.
  • Resolves customer complaints independently or with the aid of a supervisor.
  • Provides quality customer service to patrons.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.
  • Assists patrons with accessible parking locations and needs.
  • Directs patrons to designated parking spaces/locations within lot.
  • Coordinates with off-duty police traffic management to assist when needed 
  • Responsible for placement of cones and other traffic devices in locations as designated for traffic control by Parking Manager.

 

  1. Consistently deliver the best in customer service. Model and be accountable ensuring that customers are always put first by living the CRVA Service Philosophy to deliver memorable customer experiences.

Education and Experience

  • A High School Diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 1 year related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. 


Physical Demands

  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may consist of nights, weekends and/or holidays. Must be able to work outside in the elements for extended periods of time. 


Work Environment

  • Must be able to work outside in the elements for extended periods of time. 
  • Days, nights, weekends (Saturday & Sunday), and holidays.
  • The noise level in the work environment will vary depending on scheduled event.
