You will handle more complex tasks than a Mobile Technician I and ensure all work meets Koch Companies and DOT standards. This is a mobile role requiring travel to various customer and company sites for on-site service.    Hiring Range: $27.00 - $38.00  commensurate with experience Schedule: M - F  6 am to 2:30 pm $7,500 Hiring Bonus    Who You Are… You are a highly organized and detail-oriented professional who enjoys fixing and repairing equipment, you will work independently, maintain a safe work environment, and represent Koch Companies with professionalism. With your Experience and you're motivated by finding efficient solutions that support business performance.   Why Work for Us? •   Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, FSA, and more •   Free online healthcare and mental healthcare upon hire •   401(k) with company match •   Six paid holidays plus three floating holidays •   Accrued Paid Time Off beginning on your date of hire •   Company-paid Life Insurance with optional buy-up coverage •   Promotion-from-within culture and long-term career growth opportunities •   Quarterly non-discretionary bonus program  What You'll Do  • Practice safe work habits by adhering to all Koch Companies policies, procedures, and standards. • Perform scheduled maintenance and advanced repairs, including all skills from Trailer Tech I checklist, plus: • DOT Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable State and Federal regulations, conducting regular inspections and repairs. • Brake System: Adjustments and Inspections (Air and Electric), Full Air Brake Replacement (Shoes, Pads, Drums), Air Brake Troubleshooting (Valves, Chambers, Air Lines) • Air Ride System Troubleshooting & Repairs • Landing Gear Repairs • Structural Repairs: Roof Patching, Floor Repairs (Wood/Composite) • Door Repairs: Roll-Up and Swing Door Replacement • Liftgate Service: Component Inspection and Repairs • Electrical Repairs: Trailer Wiring Issues (Lights, ABS), ABS Sensor Replacement • Basic Reefer/Heater Maintenance: Preventative Maintenance, Battery, Belts, Alternator • Order necessary parts from the parts department or use parts on-site, ensuring all items are brought to the work area  Working Conditions • Primarily in a temperature-controlled shop • Exposure to adverse weather when shop doors are open • Regular exposure to loud machine noises and maintenance fluid odors • Overtime work may be required based on business needs  Qualifications Qualifications Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of trailer maintenance experience Demonstrated ability to independently complete advanced repair work Preferred Education and Experience 3+ years of experience in advanced diagnostics and repairs. Associate degree (AAS) in Heavy Duty Truck Technology, Diesel Mechanics, or a related field. Valid CDL A or CDL B license preferred. Ability to independently complete advanced repairs. Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficiency in intermediate-level maintenance and repairs on tractors and trailers. Ability to interpret and troubleshoot advanced system fault codes. Working knowledge of brake systems, suspension, liftgate hydraulics, and electrical diagnostics. Basic welding skills in steel and aluminum. Strong understanding of DOT compliance standards  •    Ability to work independently while ensuring quality, safety, and compliance.       Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move up to 50+ lbs regularly Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, climbing, and working around and under vehicles Prolonged periods standing, walking, and driving Ability to sit for extended periods while traveling Hearing ability to detect equipment sounds, backup alarms, and verbal communications Visual acuity sufficient to read manuals, computer screens, and inspect vehicle parts Ability to meet all safety and physical requirements for the role  About the Role The salary grade for this position ranges from $29.71 - $41.59.
