Position Summary

The EDIFY Program Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing a robust educational support framework for youth navigating the foster care system. This role involves building and maintaining a pool of qualified tutors, matching them with students, and providing ongoing support to Success Coaches, care managers, and volunteers. You will oversee a unique reward system to reinforce student growth, collaborate on community-facing training sessions, and track program outcomes to ensure the highest level of fidelity. As this is a grant-funded position, the Coordinator plays a critical role in demonstrating program impact for long-term sustainability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of student recruitment and onboarding, including assessing academic needs and providing necessary educational equipment.
• Recruit and field tutor applicants, providing consistent feedback and support to maintain a high-quality educational pool.
• Track and evaluate student progress using measurable outcomes, maintaining open communication with caregivers, teachers, and treatment teams.
• Obtain and review IEP/504 information and progress reports, ensuring tutoring aligns with classroom objectives and school technology platforms like Schoology.
• Implement and oversee a points management and reward system to celebrate youth success and distribute incentives.
• Develop activities that empower youth to understand their rights and opportunities within the foster care system.
• Collaborate with internal training teams to create and present "Forage and Foster" presentations to the community three times annually.
• Build and establish strong relationships with community partners, including WVU, Vista, the Department of Education, and DoHS.
• Ensure all services and documentation follow regulatory requirements, contract terms, and agency guidelines.
• Observe for and report any signs of abuse or neglect in accordance with mandatory reporting guidelines.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required; a degree in social services or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: One to two years of experience working with children and families is required.
• Licensure: A valid driver’s license and auto insurance are required.
• Skills: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of school-based communication technology is a plus.
• Characteristics: Strong customer service focus, excellent time management, and a solutions-focused mindset.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

The EDIFY Coordinator must be able to perform the following to successfully meet the needs of our youth:

• Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, and communicate effectively. Must be able to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Lifting: Regularly lift up to 10 pounds, frequently lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
• Travel: Travel to multiple counties within a service area is required. Availability for some evening and weekend work is necessary.
• Training: Must have knowledge of or attend training for de-escalation techniques and maintain current First Aid/CPR certification.
• Environment: Work is performed in a variety of settings with moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
