Construction Coordinators are responsible for planning and scheduling our internal construction teams as well as utilizing various programs to estimate, track, and facilitate monthly work plan.  Working as a key component of a high performing Construction team that will allow you to expand your skills and provide knowledge and feedback for other initiatives.

Job Summary
The Construction Coordinator serves as the vital link between TC Energy's project management group and internal construction services team, ensuring seamless project lifecycle management. This role encompasses front-end planning, including developing project schedules, cost estimates, and procurement, as well as providing logistical support. The coordinator utilizes various programs to estimate, track, and facilitate monthly work plans for internal construction teams. Throughout the project's duration, the coordinator maintains fiscal accountability through precise cost forecasting, purchase order management, and financial tracking. Upon project closure, the coordinator ensures all documentation is accurate and closeout procedures are followed. The ideal candidate will prioritize safe work habits, exhibit a positive work attitude, and independently manage pipeline integrity and maintenance projects, while contributing to a high-performing construction team and offering valuable feedback for other initiatives.
What you’ll do:
- Develop short and long-term schedules and work plans Â
- Provide bottoms up cost estimates based on design reviews and construction drawings
- Liaise with Project Management personnel to establish construction requirements for projects and facilitate project success through planning and communication
- Manage project financials including PO maintenance, invoicing support, and forecasting
- Coordinate with Regional Field Work Planners to arrange support for construction activities including pipeline/station outages or operations support Â
- Provide logistics support to Construction Crews for materials and services with external vendors as required Â
- Arrange third party contractors, external vendors and suppliers as required Â
- Assist Construction Services Manager in monitoring work activities and tracking team performance metrics Â
- Assist with cost performance tracking, analysis, and forecasting Â
- Assist in managing fleet vehicles, driver & equipment files, including coordinating annual inspections, permitting, maintenance of vehicles and heavy equipment Â
- Assist with capital equipment and tool purchases Â
- Coordinate compliance and other required training for Construction Services team Â
- Conduct site visits and travel to field locations will be required Â

Minimum Qualifications: Â
- Technical school graduation, Associate’s degree, or equivalent Â
- 5 years of pipeline or related construction experience
- Experience in project management and/or work planning and schedulingÂ
- Working knowledge and expertise with computerized maintenance management systems for work planning and information retrieval, specifically SAP and ExcelÂ
- Demonstrated ability to assess continuously changing resource demands and make suitable adjustments to existing plans with limited management guidanceÂ
- Superior organizational skillsÂ
- Effective analytical skillsÂ
- Strong human relations skills to effectively operate in a team-oriented environment with a willingness to support team objectivesÂ
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work closely with field teams and Management, and coordinate work with other appropriate technical resourcesÂ
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organizationÂ
- Must be able to handle rapidly shifting priorities and multiple projects concurrently, requiring resolution of complex problems in stressful situationsÂ
- Ability and initiative to work independently, display creativity, and exercise sound judgmentÂ
Preferred Qualifications: Â
- Knowledge of general pipeline construction, coating application, hydrostatic testing, welding, and quality control/assurance experience Â
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, mentoring, guidance skills Â
- Experience planning and coordinating activities involving internal and external parties Â
- Ability to read construction drawings to identify issues, assess construction requirements including materials and transportation requirements Â
- Strong working knowledge and expertise with computerized maintenance management systems for work planning and information retrieval, specifically P6, Microsoft Suite, SAPÂ
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and time management skills Â

- Have and maintain a valid driver's license and safe driving recordÂ
- Be subject to callouts with extended workdays/weeks as required to complete assignments or emergency supportÂ
- Travel occasionally within the assigned area of responsibility and to other company locations which may include overnight trips Up to 30%Â
