Shape Enterprise Architecture for Critical Mission Success
Mission Intelligence Group is seeking an accomplished Expert Systems Architect to lead the development and evolution of enterprise-scale architectures supporting mission-critical intelligence operations. This position is ideal for a strategic technical leader with deep expertise in enterprise architecture, systems design, and stakeholder engagement across government and international partner organizations. You will play a pivotal role in shaping architectural roadmaps, advising senior leadership, and ensuring alignment between mission requirements, technology investments, and enterprise objectives.
Your Role
As an Expert Systems Architect, you will serve as the principal architectural advisor supporting the development, maintenance, and modernization of a complex enterprise architecture environment. You will lead the creation of architectural models, frameworks, and technical solutions that enable informed decision-making across government and international stakeholders. Success in this role requires balancing strategic vision, technical expertise, and collaboration with senior leaders while supporting fast-paced operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, maintenance, and documentation of enterprise and solution architectures.
- Develop and communicate architecture status and recommendations to senior government and international leadership forums.
- Ensure architectural solutions remain aligned with Enterprise Architecture goals and mission requirements.
- Analyze user requirements, workflows, and system capabilities to identify modernization opportunities.
- Advise government leadership on architecture design alternatives, emerging technologies, and strategic direction.
- Oversee and coordinate the efforts of junior, mid-level, and senior Systems Architects.
- Create and maintain Enterprise-level digital models and architectural roadmaps balancing cost, schedule, and performance.
- Support the continued development, maintenance, and documentation of the ASG Architecture.
- Recommend and manage architecture tools that enable data-driven analysis, modeling, simulation, and decision support.
- Develop architecture artifacts compliant with DoDAF and IC Program Architecture Guidance (PAG) standards.
- Utilize Joint Architecture Reference Models (JARM) to identify service gaps, support analyses of alternatives, and inform investment decisions.
- Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to develop and maintain digital systems models.
- Link requirements and design artifacts to enterprise and solution-level architectures.
- Manage architecture repositories, processes, and automated tools supporting enterprise-wide architecture governance.
- Provide responsive architecture support for ad hoc mission needs and Liaison National Officer (LNO) requests.
Required Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM discipline.
- 18+ years of Systems Architecture experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

18+ years of relevant experience supporting government or industry organizations in one or more of the following areas:
- Enterprise Architecture
- Solution Architecture
- Data Architecture
- Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
- Intelligence Community Program Architecture Guidance (PAG)

Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively:
- Within and across organizations
- With senior executives and government leaders
- With diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders

Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain SCI eligibility and successfully complete a polygraph.
