What You’ll Do: 

  • Provision, maintain, and administer enterprise Linux environments (primarily CentOS and RHEL).
  • Oversee package installation, update pipelines, and dependency management across internal systems.
  • Ensure infrastructure compliance with federal security frameworks, executing RMF controls and applying DISA STIGs.
  • Diagnose and resolve system performance issues, network connectivity, and storage configurations with minimal guidance.
  • Maintain core networking capabilities, ensuring proper integration with system services and routing.
  • Adapt quickly to changing project scopes, organizational needs, and emergency support demands.


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements: 

  • US Citizen
    • Education & Experience:
      • Ph.D.: 0+ years of experience required.
      • Master's Degree: 3+ years of experience required.
      • Bachelor's of Science Degree: 5+ years of experience required
      • 4 additional years of experience may be substituted for a BS degree
  • Proven experience configuring and supporting CentOS and/or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
  • Hands-on experience working within the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), preferred.
  • Strong familiarity with RPM, YUM, DNF, and dependency resolution workflows.
  • Solid understanding of core networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, subnets, and firewalls).
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical challenges and execute complex tasks independently without heavy supervision.
  • Comfort managing multiple competing priorities in a dynamic work environment.


Certifications Needed:

  • Security + or higher
  • Cloud certification from any of the major Cloud providers, AWS Preferred

*Compensation: Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate's specific blend of experience, qualifications, and performance location. Salaries or compensation for part-time roles may be prorated or adjusted based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
