Description

Summary/Objective

Lead a high-energy team, drive store success, and create an exceptional experience for every guest. If you’re passionate about leadership, teamwork, and delivering outstanding customer service, we’d love to have you on the team.
 

Essential Functions

  • Attract, recruit, and hire top talent while building a strong succession pipeline.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing team, customer focused team.
  • Plan and implement team recognition programs.
  • Coach and develop staff in customer service, brand standards, product knowledge, and operations.
  • Foster a collaborative, growth-focused environment that encourages ideas and best practices.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback and communications to support team success.
  • Partner with HR on performance management and disciplinary action when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with employee records and maintain an Open Door Policy.

Process:

  • Ensure all company and store policies are followed and operational standards are met. 
  • Create and manage store schedules within labor budgets. 
  • Oversee financial and operational performance, including expenses, loss prevention, and reporting. 
  • Protect company assets and ensure compliance with safety, security, and shrink policies.

Presentation:

  • Deliver excellence in customer service in the store by modeling brand specific service standards as well as by monitoring customer feedback and responding to and addressing all customer questions and concerns quickly.
  • Ensure that store team is engaging with each customer to create an authentic brand experience.
  • Lead and inspire customer-centric culture by recognizing and rewarding teams’ successes.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards, through daily attention to detail.
  • Plan and execute floor-sets and merchandising direction, to maintain product freshness, creating a compelling store environment.

Product:

  • Educate staff on product and assortment to enhance selling and customer engagement.
  • Maintain inventory levels that will supply the demand and correlate with expected traffic patterns.
  • Manage stockroom inventory levels and organization.
  • Maintain inventory integrity by educating team members and auditing execution of proper procedures.
  • Communicate with corporate partners regarding merchandise assortment, trends, and needs.

Promotions:

  • Manage the stores social media channels, which includes listening and engaging with the local community.
  • Schedule and execute social media post while ensuring the voice of the company brand is clear and consistent with our brand voice.
  • Partner with marketing on planning and executing company in-store marketing events and other retail traffic driving events.
  • Support the company marketing events and grow relationships in the community to generate brand awareness and drive traffic.

Performance:

  • Maximize store sales and achieve store sales goals.
  • Measure and monitor sales progress and results against key targets.
  • Build a productive environment by ensuring store staff have the knowledge and skills to meet store goals for sales and customer engagement.
  • Create business strategies that will attract new customers.
  • Analyze and predict sales, and sales trends to make informed decisions.
  • Manage labor and operational expenses to maximize sales and profitability.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred. 
  • 5+ years of management experience in a fast-paced specialty retail environment. 
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to build and manage high-performing teams. 
  • Demonstrated success in driving sales, meeting business goals, and analyzing performance data. 
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills. 
  • Experience with retail social media management and community event execution preferred. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Google Sheets. 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to operate standard office equipment and technology (computers, phones, fax, copier.) Requires standing for full work shift and ability to bend, lift, open, and move up to 50 lbs. as needed.
