The IT Asset Management Specialist will be supporting the design and deployment of a new end-to-end IT Asset Management (ITAM) workflow, partnering closely with a Software Engineer to establish processes for hardware procurement, receiving, warehousing, deployment, lifecycle management, and disposal.
What You will Do:
IT Asset Lifecycle Management
- Manage IT hardware assets throughout their full lifecycle, including procurement, receiving, storage, deployment, reassignment, recovery, repair, and disposal.
- Maintain accurate records for laptops, desktops, monitors, mobile devices, peripherals, and other technology equipment.
- Ensure all assets are properly tagged, tracked, and documented within designated asset management systems.
- Monitor asset inventory levels and support forecasting and replenishment activities.
- Coordinate asset transfers across sites, departments, and employees.
Inventory & Warehouse Management
- Oversee IT inventory control processes within warehouses, depots, and storage locations.
- Conduct cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory audits.
- Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy.
- Develop inventory storage and material handling standards for IT hardware.
- Monitor inventory aging and recommend actions to optimize stock levels and reduce excess inventory.
Workflow & System Development
- Partner with Software Engineers to design and implement a scalable IT asset management workflow.
- Define business requirements, process maps, workflows, and operational standards.
- Participate in testing, validation, and deployment of new asset management applications and tools.
- Provide subject matter expertise for hardware procurement, warehouse operations, and inventory control processes.
- Support workflow automation initiatives to improve efficiency and asset visibility.
What You Will Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in:
- IT Asset Management (ITAM)
- Inventory Control
- Warehouse Management
- IT Operations
- Supply Chain Operations
- Experience working with asset management, inventory management, or ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of hardware asset lifecycle management.
- Experience documenting business processes and workflow requirements.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Pay Range: (27/hr - 30/hr).Â

Work Requirements:
This role is considered an on-site position located in Cedar Rapids, IA
•    You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours. Â
•    Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
