JP Logistics & Consulting LLC (JPLC) is looking for a full-time Personnel Assistant II / Verifying Official (VO) to support and provide USID and CAC issuance support services in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS), regulations, publications, manuals, and local policies and procedures. The employee shall issue accurate and timely identification cards to all eligible recipients in accordance with AR 600-8-14.  



Location / Place of Performance: Soldier Support Center (SSC) Building 4-2843. Normandy Drive, Fort Bragg, NC

 

Start Date: 1 October 2026


Salary: $ 22.18 per hour


Hours of Operation: (08:00-12:00; 13:00-17:00) 8 hours a day, Monday-Friday, except Federal holidays


Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

This position performs a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, clerical and secretarial duties. The work is under the general supervision of higher-level personnel in preparation of various human resource tasks throughout compensation, benefits, staffing/employment, EEO procedures, and policy administration. The Personnel Assistant II is expected to exercise discretion at all times; limited judgment may be necessary at times. This PA II may be required to operate general office equipment such as a typewriter, personal computer, copier, adding machine, and facsimile.

The Verifying Official verifies or authenticates the registered individual against the DEERS database. The VOs must complete the following training: RAPIDS Verifying Officials (VO) Desktop Certification and RAPIDS Verifying Officials (VO) Deployable Certification. Certificates of training completion.

  • Responsible for RAPIDS Workstations, Customer Service Windows, Telephone Appointment Lines, and Telephone Customer Service Lines shall be certified as “VOs.
  • Verify the identity eligibility, to include eligibility documentation, of individuals before making any updates in DEERS/RAPIDS.
  • Receive and verify correctness and enter subscriber information.
  • Generate CACs and USIDs.
  • Assist customers in resetting CAC PINs.
  • A VO is responsible for everything required at the DEERS workstation to produce ID cards and USID’s (ensure all documentation is present, etc.) along with any other program required by DEERS (Adding family members/updating Marriages/Divorces etc.
  • Adhere to DMDC guidelines: Verifying Official (VO)—Verifies data, enters data, and issues ID cards – VOs must have the Local Registration Authority (LRA) role assignment to issue CACs.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Requires technical training and familiarity with networking concepts.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.

  • Must obtain a favorable, trustworthy determination.
