About the Role:
Windward is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Wait Staff member to join our team! Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly, professional manner
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen staff
- Deliver food and drinks to tables in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, including daily specials and allergen information
- Check in with guests throughout the meal to ensure satisfaction
- Process payments, handle cash, and operate POS systems accurately
- Keep dining areas clean, organized, and properly set between seatings
Requirements:
- Prior experience in food service, waitstaff, or hospitality preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay composed in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Team player with a positive, guest-first attitude
- Basic math skills and experience handling cash transactions
- Ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays as needed
- Must meet minimum age requirements per NJ state regulations for serving alcohol (if applicable)
