Your Role at Delta Faucet:
The Innovation and Strategic Insights Partner to act as a catalyst that connects research, innovation learning, pricing strategy, strategic planning, market intelligence, and other business inputs into clear, evidence-based points of view that support decision-making across the organization.
This role will serve as a trusted Voice of the Customer and Voice of the Market, partnering with leaders to bridge the gap between what we know and how that knowledge should inform innovation, strategy, brand, product, channel, and growth decisions.
The role draws upon content generated by key insight functions, including Marketing Research, Innovation, Pricing Strategy, Strategic Planning, and Market Analysis/Intelligence. Its primary focus is integrating, interpreting, and activating existing knowledge, rather than owning or leading individual insight projects.
Responsibilities:
Innovation Opportunities Development & Growth Exploration
- Help shape opportunity spaces, strategic hypotheses, and areas for exploration by bringing together relevant evidence and insights.
- Partner with the innovation process from the fuzzy front end to NPD teams, grounding decisions in evidence of unmet consumer needs, with a handoff of clear actions to be taken by leaders.
- Leverage DFC’s existing knowledge base and business intelligence to identify opportunities for growth in new categories, existing product extensions, and general business opportunities.
- Design and facilitate cross-functional working sessions that translate customer needs, market signals, into and opportunity spaces, ideas, concepts, and strategic priorities.
- Support the innovation and growth pipeline by helping teams identify, frame, prioritize, and advance needs-based solutions and concepts.
- Monitor evolving market, consumer, channel, and competitive trends and communicate important developments throughout the organization.
Strategic Organizational Insights
- Serve as an enterprise resource for integrating customer, consumer, market, channel, competitive, pricing, and business intelligence into a clearer organizational point of view.
- Create executive-ready summaries, reports, white papers, presentations, and discussion materials that improve organizational understanding and action.
- Assist insight leaders with identifying where existing knowledge is sufficient, where it is conflicting, and where new research or analysis may be needed.
- Stay connected to major insight foundations, including segmentation, purchase journey, innovation research, pricing work, brand learning, market intelligence, and strategic planning inputs.
Insight Activation
- Engage with insight leaders throughout their research and intelligence gathering to guide the project scope and apply learnings beyond its immediate stakeholder.
- Support Delta Faucet Company's strategic planning processes by helping collect, organize, synthesize, and communicate fact-based and concise inputs.
- Facilitate discussions and workshops with business leaders that contextualize insights to inform business cases and strategic growth assessments.
- Connect with business and insight leaders to ensure customer and market perspectives are incorporated early enough to influence priorities, choices, and plans.
Cross-Functional Innovation Leadership
- Establish shared understanding of the opportunity, supporting evidence, critical assumptions, knowledge gaps, decision criteria, owners, and next actions.
- Maintain momentum across functional boundaries while ensuring responsibility for decisions and execution remains with the appropriate business leaders.
- Influence without direct authority through objectivity, facilitation, business acumen, and evidence-based judgment.
Success in this Role
- Existing organizational knowledge is more effectively connected, reused, and activated before additional research or analysis is commissioned.
- DFC leaders see this role as a trusted entry point for connecting relevant customer, market, competitive, pricing, innovation, and strategic insights to strategic business decisions.
- Fragmented information is translated into clear, evidence-based points of view that explain what is known, what it means, where uncertainty remains, and what the business should consider.
- Customer and market perspectives are incorporated earlier and more consistently into strategic planning, innovation, product, brand, channel, and growth discussions.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Analytics, Market Research, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in market research, business insights, analytics, strategy, consulting, innovation insights, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience synthesizing complex information from multiple sources into actionable business recommendations.
- Experience facilitating cross-functional innovation, ideation, concept-development, or strategic working sessions.
- Demonstrated ability to translate customer needs and market evidence into opportunity spaces, concepts, and learning agendas.
- Experience influencing multidisciplinary teams without direct authority.
- Strong analytical thinking and business acumen.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally within a matrixed organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and related business tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting strategic planning, long-range planning, or growth strategy initiatives.
- Exposure to consumer products, durable goods, home improvement, or adjacent industries.
- Experience leveraging both qualitative and quantitative insights.
- Knowledge of competitive intelligence, trend scouting, and opportunity identification methodologies.
