Company Overview: Metro Supply Chain is a privately-owned third-party logistics provider, managing over twelve million square feet of warehouse space across North America and Europe. We service the most complex and challenging distribution needs of our customers, and we are looking for a 1st Shift Co-Pack Production Supervisor at our Carlisle, PA facility. 

 

Position Overview: Using your knowledge of Co-Pack production, best practices and strong communication skills you will be responsible for supervising up to 150 people (during peak period) on 1st shift. The Co-Pack Supervisor will also be responsible for scheduling the labor requirements for the shift to ensure production goals are met within the budgeted cost structure. The successful candidate will need to follow the Food Safety process and programs to ensure the facility meets AIB standards. In conjunction with the Leadership team, will aide in the successful support of the companies ‘Our Way’ culture program underpinned through the four fundamental values and behaviors; Our Customer, Our Team, Our Company, and Our World. Ideally, you will have 2-years of packaging experience (3PL experience would be an asset) and at least 2-years leadership experience (preferably in the Co-Packaging Industry), preferably with a degree in business management or associated field/or the equivalent experience.  A minimum high school diploma and relevant experience will be considered. 

Bilingualism (English / Spanish) is not required, but an asset. 

 

Minimum Knowledge, Experience & Skill Requirements: 

 

  • Proven ability to lead, coach and build teammate relationships in an environment of fast change; must be able to direct, and motivate a diverse team member population. 
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems of varied scope; must be able to act decisively in implementing solutions. 
  • Strong organizational skills for planning work and continuously monitoring progress towards goals. 
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task; ability to respond flexibly in a quickly changing environment. 
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written) for effective management of teams. 
  • Must demonstrate an exemplary commitment to provide exceptional customer service. 
  • Strong working knowledge of One Note, Q-Cloud, Nulogy, Pack Manager and Red Prairie 
  • General knowledge of and ability to operate a personal computer; working knowledge of Microsoft Office & various and working knowledge of Microsoft office.
