Short Description

Performs CT imaging procedures in accordance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and National Patient Safety Goals. Utilizes advanced knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and CT technology to produce high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring accurate documentation and image integrity within PACS. Obtains and reviews patient history, educates patients and families regarding procedures, and provides compassionate care that addresses physical and psychological needs. Participates in quality improvement initiatives, supports multidisciplinary patient care, and promotes exceptional patient service and satisfaction.

Education Requirements

Associate's preferred

Graduate of AMA Approved Radiologic Technologist ProgramMust meet all educational requirements necessary to obtain ARRT certification according to your graduation date.

License/Certification Requirements

Current BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) within 90 days of hireCurrent ARRT Certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)Current NJDEP Diagnostic Radiology LicenseARRT Board Certified in Computed Tomography required within 12 months of hire

Special Requirements

Demonstrates effective communication skills and utilizes the AIDET communication frameworkAbility to regularly lift patientsAbility to stand for extended periods of time
