POSITION SUMMARY

The employee in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests.  The Bartender also ensures the excellent serving of patrons in a timely manner and to assure quality guest service and a favorable gaming experience while controlling levels of intoxication.

ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(The following statements are intended as general examples of the duties of this position and are not all-inclusive for specific positions.  Other reasonable duties may be assigned. 

 

 

  1. Interact with all guests and employees to positively affect the guest/employee experience. Demonstrate resiliency dealing with difficult guests in all types of business conditions.  Work effectively and courteously with fellow employees.   

 

  1. Responsible to take orders from patrons, ring in orders, prepare drinks correctly and return these orders in a timely manner.

 

  1. Responsible for following all cashiering policy and procedures particularly with accuracy and safeguarding of funds, i.e. cash, comps, credit cards, etc. 

 

  1. Responsible for developing and maintaining positive guest relations, including but not limited to, resolving minor guest disputes and ensuring the safety and security of all guests and employees.

 

  1. Responsible for, but not limited to, the following: stock bar items, fill ice bins, replace bottles on Berg System, replenish juice used at bars, empty garbage, mop floors, keep all areas including bar mats and coolers, clean and orderly.

 

  1. Keep work area in a clean and orderly manner.

 

  1. Ensures the proper service of alcohol by following the current laws of the state and the policies of the company.

 

  1. Ensure the safety and security of employees and customers.

 

  1. Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including nights, weekends and holidays; shifts may change based on business needs.

 

  1. Performs other duties as assigned

Work Environment: 

  • Must be able to work in varying temperatures including, but not limited to heat of cooking equipment and cold of walk-in cooler/freezers.
  • Must be able to work in a smoking environment.
  • Must be able to work in a gaming environment with exposure to bright/flashing lights, crowds and above average noise levels.

 

MINUMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

Experience/Education:

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Six months experience in cocktail service, bartending or bar back preferred

 

Knowledge:

  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide with/or without the aid of a calculating device.  

 

Other:                                                         

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain valid Level 2 Missouri Gaming license
  • Must be able to receive and maintain all required certification
  • Must complete all required company training
