Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable, skilled MIG Welder to fabricate and weld metal components in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has experience with steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, can read blueprints, and takes pride in quality, safety, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum to blueprint and specification requirements.
- Set up and safely operate welding equipment, fixtures, clamps, and hand tools.
- Load, position, and secure materials for welding.
- Adjust welding settings based on material type and thickness.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production instructions.
- Inspect welds for quality and compliance with customer standards.
- Perform layout, multi-position welding, and metal finishing as needed.
- Assist with weld fixture fabrication and routine equipment maintenance.
- Safely move materials using forklifts, overhead cranes, and pallet jacks when certified.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Complete required production and quality documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications.
- Experience welding aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.
- Knowledge of welding equipment setup, measuring tools, and shop equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move materials safely.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus.
