Description

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the senior director of Programs in creating a strategic plan to meet the grant deadlines 
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the program.
  • Work with internal and external partners to revise and update action plans.
  • Coordinate with Sr. Director of Programs to prepare all necessary compliance documentation and reports.
  • Work in disseminating critical communication and coordinating efforts among providers as convener.
  • Work with the senior director of Programs to develop/coordinate a training curriculum to orient new students and staff to referral services.
  • Oversee the implementation of all training sessions for staff and ensure the delivery of training sessions and presentations. 
  • Monitor and follow timelines for activities as established by the grant.
  • Conduct comprehensive baseline and periodic assessments of the plan/program.
  • Work with the senior director of Programs to recruit internal and external candidates to participate in grant-required advisory boards and task forces.
  • Arrange meetings with internal/external partners to coordinate grant activities.
  • Ensure staff referrals, program/service enrollment for participants, and changes in participant status are documented in  ETO/case files within 48 hours of occurrence. 
  • Attend all mandatory program trainings and meetings.
  • Oversee and ensure staff reporting is accurately documented in ETO weekly.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Report to the Program Sr. Director of Programs


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

Education: 

  • A bachelor’s degree in social service or a related field is required. 


Experience:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience and/or training in crisis intervention
  • No pending criminal cases and no prior convictions for sexual assault, child abuse or domestic violence
  • Committed to working toward positive community change.


Other:

  • Sensitivity to cultural diversity is required. 
  • Ability to communicate and cooperate with diverse families, professionals, and community groups. 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of neighborhood revitalization efforts.  
  • A clear understanding of the community(s) being served. 
  • Demonstrated track record of strong community engagement skills.

KEY COMPETENCIES

• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and inputting services into an online database.

 

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT 

  • Ability to work varying hours Monday - Friday, Schedule may include some evenings and weekends.  
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance required for work-related travel. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time.

• Must be able to frequently move inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. 

• Occasionally ascends/descends stairs.

• At times, lifting up to 25 lbs may be required for various classrooms and event needs. 

• Frequently moves in outdoor weather conditions.
