Assistant Manager - U.S. Distribution

We are seeking qualified candidates for an Assistant Manager - U.S. Distribution at our Byhalia Distribution Center.

Responsibilities of the Position

  • Oversee daily operations for Receiving, Returns, Value Added Service Requests (VASR), and Non-Conforming departments.
  • Lead and support supervisors, coordinators, and hourly employees to ensure productivity, quality, and service goals are met.
  • Allocate labor and resources to meet operational demands and performance objectives.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and corporate teams to manage inbound containers, returns, special projects, customer requests, and inventory issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, including FDA, FTZ, CTPAT, and audit standards.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and integrity through proper receiving, documentation, and process controls.
  • Coach, train, and develop supervisors and team members, providing performance feedback and fostering employee growth.
  • Manage workflow priorities to meet customer expectations and ensure timely processing of products and orders.
  • Monitor departmental expenses and labor utilization while supporting business objectives.

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of distribution center experience.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends as needed.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment that includes equipment traffic, noise, and occasional lifting.
