Job DetailsJob Location: NSC-Burlington Family Store - BURLINGTON, NC 27215Salary Range: $9.00 - $9.50 HourlyJob Category: StoreSchedule/Hours: Tuesday-Saturday; Part Time 29 hr/wk; Non-Exempt This position is responsible for: Assists in picking-up donations by riding in a Salvation Army truck and lifting, carrying, and/or hauling donations into the truck and unloading the same at the warehouse. Key Responsibilities:  Assists in maintaining the vehicle in proper working order and in compliance with established standards  Ensures the accountability, security, and safety of the donations when in route;  Assists in performing work in the thrift/family store and warehouse   Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Work requires riding in a vehicle daily with exposure to the outdoors where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull heavy (50-100+ lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment frequently. Heavy mobility; duties are usually performed by combinations of standing, walking, climbing ladders or steps, bending, reaching, or transporting merchandise on frequent change basis relieved by fewer periods of sitting or operating a vehicle.
