Join The University of Vermont Medical Center as an Experienced Sterile Processing Technician on the night shift (11:00 PM to 7:30 AM). We're seeking experienced SPD professionals with hospital-based sterile processing experience and strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterilization practices, and infection prevention standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments
- Operate sterilization and washer equipment
- Maintain instrument tracking and inventory systems
- Support OR and procedural areas with timely instrument delivery
- Follow infection prevention and quality standards
Requirements
- Hospital-based Sterile Processing/Central Sterile experience required
- Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and aseptic technique
- Eligible to obtain and maintain CRCST certification as a condition of employment
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Compensation & Benefits
- Full-Time Night Shift: 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Pay Range: $22.28 to $35.10/hour, based on experience
- Shift Differentials: Evening +$2.75/hour | Night +$6.50/hour | Weekend +$3.50/hour

Important: Day-shift orientation is required prior to evening or night shift placement.
