Chenega Government Mission Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services’ company, is looking for a Dentist (Locum Tenens). The Dentist will provide services to beneficiaries of the Indian Health Service's Blackfeet Service Unit in Browning, Montana. The Dentist shall deliver quality care to attain positive health outcomes for all our valued patients with emphasis on cultural sensitivity and human dignity.

Position details: 

  • 1099, rate $160/hr
  • Full time, Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
  • Chenega covers medical malpractice insurance  
  • Patient Volume: Minimum of 8 per day 

Responsibilities

  • Exams, crowns, fillings, bridges, dentures, implants, root canals, simple extractions, surgical extractions, endo molar, endo sealants, partials, X-rays, Invisalign.
  • Employment of the principles of dental care. Initial and follow-up evaluation, treatment and management for dental care.
  • Be present on time for any scheduled clinics as documented by physical presence in the clinic at the scheduled start time.
  • Provide consultation with and instruction to referring physicians regarding appropriate indications for procedures so that the most expeditious and clinically appropriate work-up can be done.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and meetings with committee participation as required by the IHS Clinical Director, Chief Dental Officer, Chief of Staff, or designee.
  • Attend staff meetings as required by the IHS Clinical Director, Chief Dental Officer, Chief of Staff, or designee.
  • Complete the appropriate QM/PI documentation pertaining to all procedures, complications and outcome of examinations.
  • Document care given and select appropriate Evaluation and Management (E&M) procedure codes in EHR.
  • Follow all established patient safety and infection control standards of care.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Permanent, current, full and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in a state, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.  
  • Graduate of an accredited dental school approved by the commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) of the American Dental Association (ADA) with either a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of dental Medicine (DMD) degree.
  • Active BLS or ACLS. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience.

Estimated Salary/Wage

USD $160.00/Hr.
