Job Description
Eastern Environmental Solutions, Inc. is a well-established and growing environmental service company based in Manorville, NY.
We are actively seeking a highly motivated, well experienced, results driven, and skilled Environmental Operations Manager. This is a fast paced, highly visible position. This position requires an individual that is team oriented, a multi-tasker, as well as, a strong individual contributor with a superior sense of urgency.
For compliance purposes for NYS transparency, the expected salary range is $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year. Compensation will be based on experience, license and other factors permitted by law.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Reporting directly to the President of the company daily.
- Developing key performance goals and managing the performance of the staff.
- Creating and implementing strategies for business growth.
- Oversees the daily operations of the field staff.
- Maintaining Driver Files for all CDL Drivers.
- Maintain accurate records, including manifests, inspection logs, and incident reports.
- Working closely with Project Managers and other senior staff to retain clients.
- Developing new solutions to meet client needs.
- Improving internal processes for better productivity.
- Overseeing large projects and interpreting performance reports.
- Analyze service and quality issues, identifying training needs, ensure implementation of training programs and adhere to all training guidelines and policies.
- Provide leadership support and direction to all staff members.
- Work closely with senior managers to identify potential opportunities/clients while maintaining current client relations.
- Provide leadership and direction to Project Managers, Technicians, and drivers to ensure safety and compliance with OSHA standards.
- Must be able to maintain compliance with DOT, OSHA, and Federal/State/Local permit requirements.
- Coordinate emergency response operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- College education in environmental, engineering, or related science program preferred, but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental remedial and/or restoration projects.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (word, excel, outlook, Teams, etc.).
- Ability to work with both internal and external staff members.
- Keen strategic thinking and planning.
- Excellent leadership skills, including goal setting, motivating, training and mentorship.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening.
- Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Good organization and time management.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced or high-pressure environment.
- In-depth knowledge of the industry.
- Ability to execute our company’s core values and drive our Mission Statement.
- Strong organization skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
