POSITION SUMMARY:Ā Ā
To provide daily and scheduled sanitation services to Uptown Bakeries safely and efficiently.Ā
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Ā Ā
- Cleaning, sanitizing, and disassembling -reassemble equipment Ā
- according to SOP procedures.Ā
- Works in a hot and cold environment.Ā
- Cleans processing equipment, overhead pipes, and conveyors in aĀ Ā Ā
wet and dry environment.Ā
- Scrubs processing tanks and kettles, conveyors.Ā
- Sweeps and mops floors and scrubs walls. Ā
- Follows SOP sanitation cleaning procedures.Ā Ā
- May be trained to operate forklift and scissor lift.Ā
- Uses cleaning chemicals, water hose, brushes, and air wand.Ā
- Exposed to chemicals.Ā
- Moderate to heavy lifting.Ā Ā
- Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and move around.Ā

- Repetitively use hands, wrists, and forearms.Ā
- Frequently lifts/moves hoses, equipment, chemical containers,Ā Ā
- Bakery feed totes.Ā
- Operates a chemical foamer.Ā
- Performs fryer and kettle cleaning, boil outs.Ā

- Cleans the restrooms and breakrooms.Ā
- Removes trash from the plant.Ā
- Fills paper towel and hair net dispensers. Ā
- Keeps the outside of the building and grounds clean, and picks up outside. Ā

- Works in the washroom, cleaning and scrubbing equipment, Ā
containers, utensils, mixing bowls, and conveyers.Ā
- Uses the triple sink to clean small wares.Ā
- Uses an air vacuum to pick up water.Ā
- Pushes water on floor using a squeegee.Ā Ā Ā
- Uses the rack washer to wash trays.Ā
- Operates production equipment and conveyors.Ā
- Lifts and dumps heavy containers of dough scrap.Ā
- Comply with all safety requirements including chemical safety andĀ
