Novus Adult Care Services (NovusACS) is seeking a compassionate and skilled full-time Registered Nurse - RN to join our healthcare team in Bridgeport and Doylestown, PA. This is a full-time, in-person position. The Registered Nurse - RN will work a rotating Saturday schedule and will provide services at any assigned NovusACS location as needed.


YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS OUR REGISTERED NURSE - RN

As a Registered Nurse - RN, you will provide patient-centered healthcare focused on infectious diseases, STD testing and treatment, HIV care, prevention, and education. You will conduct patient assessments, review medical histories, obtain vital signs, prepare patients for examinations and therapies, and assist Nurse Practitioners during examinations as needed. You will administer and process testing, perform phlebotomy and specimen collection, administer injections, medications, and ensure all testing and treatment protocols are followed. You will educate patients about the prevention, transmission, and treatment of infectious diseases and STDs while counseling individuals on STD and HIV risk reduction, partner notification, and healthy practices.

You will provide guidance and emotional support to patients with positive test results and contact patients regarding treatment when applicable. Throughout the day, you will maintain complete and accurate patient records within the EMR system, reconcile laboratory testing with Quest, Labcorp, and CDD, assist with Department of Health reporting requirements, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and HIV Confidentiality Law requirements. You will also supervise and train medical assistants and phlebotomists, maintain a clean and safe clinical environment through sanitation and infection-control procedures, assist with office duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and ordering supplies, and collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and other healthcare providers to deliver exceptional patient care.

Registered Nurse - RN Requirements:

  • Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or diploma from an approved nursing program
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Pennsylvania
  • Current BLS certification
  • Additional certifications as required, including CPR and ACLS
  • 3+ years of clinical experience in a related field
  • Proficiency in phlebotomy and specimen collection
  • Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods, procedures, and emergency care
  • Strong understanding of sanitation, decontamination, infection-control, and health and safety guidelines
  • Ability to maintain complete, accurate, and confidential patient records
  • Proficiency with EMR systems, billing processes, and computer applications
  • Strong clinical judgment, diagnostic, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative and solve problems effectively
  • Ability to work effectively with men and women of diverse races, ethnicities, ages, and sexual orientations in a multicultural environment
  • Professional, friendly, compassionate, and patient-centered approach to care
  • Highly motivated with a positive attitude and commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
  • Experience in infectious disease care or related specialties (preferred)
