As a Financial Operations Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting brewery and Contract Manufacturing operations through inventory management, reporting, and financial analysis. You will help ensure accurate inventory tracking, analyze production and inventory variances, support forecasting and budgeting processes, and provide insights that drive operational efficiency and cost savings. In this fast-paced, growth-oriented environment, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and partner closely with finance and operations teams.
 

What You'll Brew:

  • Reconcile inventory transactions and Material Usage Variance (MUV) activity for assigned materials accurately and on time.
  • Lead inventory reporting and analysis activities for assigned materials, identifying opportunities for cost savings related to scrap, labor, and inventory performance.
  • Own the annual physical inventory process and ensure inventory accuracy across Contract Manufacturing locations.
  • Analyze inventory movements, production activity, and operational variances to identify trends and business impacts.
  • Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, month-end, forecast, and annual budget reports.
  • Support new product costing initiatives and actively participate in the standard cost process.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Partner with the Finance Manager and Cost Analyst on ad hoc financial analyses and special projects.
  • Travel occasionally as needed to support business requirements and operational objectives.
  • Work in a standard office environment and periodically in manufacturing settings requiring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and heightened situational awareness.

What Ingredients You'll Bring:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience in a process-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team setting.
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, twist, reach, and periodically lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • SAP experience.
  • Government reporting and/or sales tax experience.
 
Level: 5
At the Boston Beer Company and in accordance with pay transparency laws, we are open about our salary ranges. For this role, the salary range is between $67,000 and $114,000. However, it's important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location. Additionally, this position qualifies for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and individual performance, and certain sales roles might include a car allowance.
