This role is part of our Space and Launch business, which has contributed to the nation’s space programs for decades by delivering complete solutions from concept to flight. We enable successful space operations with mission-critical technology supporting every step from first launch to final landing, including launch vehicle subsystems, propulsion systems, aerodynamic and interstage systems, and payload protection and deployment. Our high-performance solutions are engineered to operate in the most extreme environments and meet precise mission requirements.
In this role, you support manufacturing operations by performing machining, assembly, and general shop tasks that directly contribute to delivering high-quality components. You help maintain a clean and organized work environment, follow established procedures, and work closely with supervisors and production personnel to ensure schedules and methods of manufacture are met. Your attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship play a key role in meeting production requirements and ensuring customer products perform as intended.
Responsibilities
• Follows AS 9100 procedures and supports continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintains a clean and organized workspace to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Coordinates with supervisors and manufacturing personnel to prioritize production schedules.
• Works with supervisors and manufacturing personnel to establish methods of manufacture.
• Operates equipment required to support production needs.
• Communicates tooling or equipment requirements to the supervisor.
• Manufactures, machines, and assembles products according to work instructions and blueprint specifications.
• Understands how product performance affects customers in the event of failure.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Entry-level experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of management.
• General blueprint interpretation skills.
• Basic knowledge of machine setups, tools, tooling, cutters, and assembly practices.
