Responsible for the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of assigned manufacturing areas, including production, quality, asset reliability, technical support, and personnel development. Leads compliance with all regulatory and HSE requirements while ensuring customer expectations for quality, service, and delivery are met. Manages operational performance through effective leadership of people, processes, capital resources, and continuous improvement initiatives. Develops a highly capable workforce through coaching, training, accountability, and succession planning while driving productivity, quality, reliability, and business results.

Essential Functions
  • __Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE) & Regulatory Compliance__ Ensure full compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including OSHA, EPA, DOT, and company HSE policies, procedures, and standards. Champion a strong safety culture that promotes employee engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement. Lead safety discussions, field observations, audits, and routine plant walkthroughs. Participate in and lead Process Safety Management (PSM) activities, including Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), Management of Change (MOC), Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR), and Root Cause Investigations. Ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented, communicated, and closed. Recognize and address conditions that impact employee safety, process safety, environmental performance, and regulatory compliance.__Production, Operations & Customer Service__ Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure safe, reliable, efficient, and cost-effective production. Ensure products are manufactured, packaged, and delivered on time while meeting customer specifications and quality requirements. Coordinate personnel, inventories, maintenance resources, and technical support to meet production commitments and shipment schedules. Maintain direct communication with customers regarding production status, product quality, service issues, and improvement opportunities. Partner with commercial, technical, engineering, quality, and operations teams to ensure customer requirements are consistently met. Support process optimization efforts that improve productivity, reduce costs, increase throughput, and minimize off-specification material. Develop and maintain operating procedures, work instructions, and production standards. Provide technical assistance to support safe and efficient operation of manufacturing processes.__Quality Management__ Establish and maintain high standards for product quality and operational discipline. Drive improvements in First Pass Quality (FPQ), process capability, and product consistency. Monitor production quality metrics and implement corrective actions as necessary. Lead efforts to standardize work practices across shifts and operating teams. Utilize statistical and continuous improvement tools to identify and eliminate sources of variation and waste.__People Leadership & Workforce Development__ Lead, coach, and develop employees through performance management, mentoring, training, and clear accountability. Ensure employees are properly trained and qualified to safely and effectively perform their responsibilities. Develop workforce capability through training plans, career development, cross-training, and succession planning. Identify and develop future leaders within the organization. Conduct employee performance reviews, development discussions, and goal-setting activities. Foster a culture of engagement, teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. Maintain workforce staffing plans that support current and future business requirements.__Asset Reliability, Maintenance & Capital Management__ Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to maintain reliable operation of plant assets and equipment. Support maintenance planning, repair activities, equipment upgrades, and asset improvement initiatives. Participate in the development and execution of capital improvement projects. Develop annual capital investment recommendations that support operational reliability, safety, quality, and business growth. Ensure equipment and process improvements are effectively implemented and sustained.__Financial Management & Continuous Improvement__ Participate in development and execution of annual operating and capital budgets. Manage departmental fixed and variable costs to achieve business objectives. Monitor operational performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, productivity, reliability, cost, and customer satisfaction. Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, and other productivity improvement methodologies. Analyze performance trends and implement corrective actions to improve operational effectiveness. Evaluate labor, materials, and equipment utilization to support efficient operation and future growth.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.

Education Qualifications
  • Required Bachelor's Degree Chemical Engineering, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related technical field

Experience Qualifications
  • Preferred 5+ years of progressive manufacturing, chemical processing, or industrial operations experience, including leadership responsibility.

Skills and Abilities
  • Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM), Management of Change (MOC), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Root Cause Analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and operational excellence principles.
  • Experience managing production processes, quality systems, and manufacturing assets.
  • Strong understanding of industrial equipment, process systems, and manufacturing operations.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and drive results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other business systems.
  • Demonstrated understanding of applicable regulatory requirements and their impact on manufacturing operations.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to build strong internal and external business relationships.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands
  • Able to travel around site- climb stairs and/or ladders in PPE
