Qualifications: 

  • Experience in maintenance, housekeeping, and groundskeeping, with knowledge of facility operations, equipment, preventative maintenance, and environmental services best practices.
  • Knowledge of chemical use, hazardous waste, and infection control practices.
  • A valid boiler operator's license is needed. Candidates without a current license must obtain one after hire. 
  • Great communication skills to help promote a positive working relationship with management, employees, residents, and resident’s family members. Always display tact and consideration.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge and experience in leadership regarding the areas surrounding Environmental Services.
  • Ability to solve problems and adjust and adapt to unexpected situations.
  • Read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Mechanical background is necessary.


Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with environmental services operations by supporting maintenance, housekeeping, and facility needs to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment. Support and promote Pinecrest Hometown Culture.
  • Use supplies per manufacturer guidelines and take care of cleaning equipment such as carpet cleaners, carts, vacuums etc.
  • Keep work area and utility rooms neat, orderly and safe.
  • Report all required improvements and repairs to the Environmental Services Director.
  • Maintain good rapport with management, employees, residents, and resident’s family members, while displaying a great deal of patience, tact, and consideration.
  • Refer all resident medical or personal care questions to the nurse in charge.
  • Complete all scheduled duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Perform maintenance and grounds keeping tasks.
  • Assign delegated tasks to those on the Environmental Services Team.
  • Attend meetings with management team and hold meetings with environmental services staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
