Position Summary
The Production Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of Sunrise Landscape’s field teams, ensuring all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is responsible for leading Landscape Foremen and field crews while maintaining accountability for service execution, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.
The Production Manager supports daily landscape maintenance operations by supervising crews, managing schedules and resources, and ensuring client expectations are consistently met. A successful Production Manager brings strong field leadership, operational discipline, and a commitment to quality, safety, and client service.
Key Responsibilities
As one of our Production Managers, you will have the following areas of responsibility:
Crew Leadership & Operations Management
- Supervise and motivate Landscape Foremen and field crews
- Manage daily operations and schedules for multiple landscape maintenance crews
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed efficiently and meets quality standards
- Allocate labor, equipment, and materials effectively to optimize resource utilization
- Conduct regular site inspections and address operational issues as they arise
Client Service & Relationship Management
- Deliver and maintain exceptional client relationships through high-quality landscape maintenance service delivery
- Support a portfolio of commercial landscape clients by ensuring service expectations are met
- Collaborate with Client Relationship Managers to maintain strong client relationships and address concerns promptly
Team Development & Performance
- Provide training, mentorship, and operational guidance to Crew Leaders and field staff
- Hold teams accountable for service quality, productivity, and professionalism
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and production progress
Systems, Safety & Compliance
- Utilize Aspire software to manage crew schedules, logs, and work tickets daily
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
- Report incidents, injuries, and accidents and complete all required documentation
Qualifications & Core Competencies
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of landscape maintenance experience required, with at least 1 to 2 years in a supervisory role
- Experience managing daily operations is preferred
- Experience with Aspire software preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and provide excellent client service
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple crews, schedules, and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, twist, and squat for prolonged periods throughout the day
- Ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift 30+ pounds multiple times per day in hot temperatures
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions including heat, high humidity, and rain
Driver Qualifications
To qualify as a Driver, in addition to the above, you must:
- Possess a valid driver’s license issued in the United States for a minimum of three years
- Maintain a clean driving record for at least three years
- Successfully pass a drug screening
