Lead Infant Teacher

Full-Time | Start Date: Sept 8

Discovery Kidzone is seeking an experienced Full-Time Lead Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This position is scheduled to begin Sept 8, 2026.


We are looking for an experienced early childhood educator who is passionate about supporting infants during their earliest stages of development. If you have experience working with young children and are ready to grow into a leadership role, we'd love to hear from you. We are happy to provide coaching and training to help the right candidate become a successful Lead Teacher.



Our centers operate Monday through Friday, offering a consistent schedule with no evenings or weekends, allowing for an excellent work-life balance.


Position Responsibilities

  • Lead daily classroom routines for infants and young toddlers
  • Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and learning experiences
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
  • Support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
  • Observe and document children's progress
  • Maintain regular communication with families regarding children's development and daily activities
  • Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and center policies
  • Guide and support classroom team members while promoting a collaborative environment
  • Organize classroom materials and maintain a clean, safe learning space
  • Work closely with center leadership to ensure high-quality classroom operations


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a licensed childcare or early learning setting
  • Previous experience working with infants or toddlers preferred
  • Leadership experience is helpful but not required—we provide training and mentorship
  • Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent coursework is preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
  • Patient, dependable, and professional approach to working with children and families
  • CPR and First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to complete all required state licensing and background check requirements
