Job Overview

SERVPRO of Sullivan, Montour and Columbia Counties is looking for a Restoration Technician who is dependable, hardworking, and ready to work in challenging situations. This is a hands-on job where every day can be different. You’ll be working alongside a team to get homes and businesses back to normal.

Duties

  • Perform hands-on restoration work including demolition, cleaning, removal of damaged materials, and other physically demanding tasks.
  • Load and unload work vehicles with the tools, equipment, products and supplies needed for each job.
  • Keep the vehicle, tools and equipment clean, organized, and ready to go.
  • Set up equipment, containment, staging areas, and other materials needed to complete the work safely and efficiently.
  • Communicate with the Restoration Supervisor and other technicians to keep the job moving and make sure work is completed correctly.
  • Clean up and break down the jobsite at the end of each day and when the job is complete. Leave every jobsite clean, safe, and organized.
Skills / Physical Demands / Competencies

  • Great communication skills
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Ability to regularly lift a minimum of 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, and work in tight spaces, such as crawl spaces and attics
  • Ability to repetitively push, pull, lift, and carry objects
  • Ability to work with and around cleaning agents
  • IICRC certifications preferred
