Senior Manager, Supply Chain
Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Supply Chain, is responsible for overseeing the demand and supply chain planning teams, creating forecasting strategies and ensuring accuracy in purchase plans. This role manages forecasts that align customer demand, inventory investments, production plans, and business objectives to support profitable growth and service excellence. The Senior Manager is responsible for all finished goods and packaging procurement, which includes Andros gifting projects.
In addition, this role is responsible for vendor management and supplier sourcing for WFF’s Owned Brand portfolio. You will guide the team in selecting and negotiating with co-packers, providing forecasts and production planning, securing competitive pricing and timely delivery of goods.
As a key leader in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, the Senior Manager partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Planning, and Finance to improve forecast accuracy, identify demand risks and opportunities, and ensure alignment between commercial plans and operational capabilities.
The role is responsible for developing forecasting capabilities, leveraging technology and analytics, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that improve forecast accuracy, inventory performance, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
S&OP Leadership
- Lead the supply chain portion of the S&OP / Integrated Business Planning process.
- Facilitate alignment between Sales, Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.
- Present demand assumptions, risks, and opportunities to leadership teams.
- Support executive decision-making through scenario analysis and recommendations.
Analytics & Insights
- Analyze historical sales, market trends, promotional activity, and customer behavior.
- Develop forecasting models and performance dashboards.
- Translate data into actionable business insights and recommendations.
- Drive adoption of forecasting tools and planning technologies.
Inventory & Service Optimization
- Partner with Supply Planning to balance service, inventory, and capacity objectives.
- Support inventory optimization initiatives.
- Minimize stockouts, excess inventory, and obsolescence risks.
- Improve forecast-driven decision-making across the organization.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and develop Demand Planners and forecasting resources.
- Establish performance metrics and development plans.
- Build forecasting capabilities and analytical expertise across the team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Lead forecasting system enhancements and process standardization initiatives.
- Improve data quality, forecasting models, and planning workflows.
- Support implementation and optimization of demand planning technologies.
- Drive automation and advanced analytics adoption.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
Experience
- 8–12 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain planning, vendor management, or related functions.
- 3–5 years of leadership experience.
- Experience leading S&OP or Integrated Business Planning processes.
- Experience with forecasting software and ERP systems.
Preferred
- Food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods experience.
- Experience with forecasting platforms such as FuturMaster, SAP IBP, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, or similar solutions.
- Strong analytical, statistical, and business modeling capabilities.
