This position will be based in Birmingham, AL. Interns will be onsite at the Birmingham headquarters. Â

Responsibilities Â
•         Participate on an Agile development team developing cloud-native services and integrations for company needsÂ
•         Work on a capstone project on a topic in your discipline to present to IT leadershipÂ
•         Work alongside senior developers and architects on assigned tasksÂ
•         Document, design, develop, test, and monitor solutionsÂ
•         Support deployment pipeline of products to production, and triage and solve issuesÂ

Qualifications Â
•         Working on a BS degree in a computer related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering)Â
•         Working knowledge of software development languages (Java preferred)Â
•         Familiarity with cloud platforms and technologies (Google Cloud preferred)Â
•         Familiarity with DevSecOps processes and tools (e.g. Git, CI/CD pipelines)Â
•         Familiarity with Linux shell and Windows scriptingÂ
•         High Level understanding of full software lifecycle developmentÂ
•         Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)Â
•         Must be self-motivated and know when to seek guidanceÂ
•         Individual must be a self-starter and capable of working independently as well as part of a teamÂ
•         Capable of learning new tools and technologiesÂ
•         Strong critical thinking and problem solving skillsÂ
