About The Role
As a Housekeeper in our Housekeeping department, you will play a key role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests and staff. This hourly, full-time position is hands-on and focused on delivering high standards of cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail across assigned areas. You will work both independently and as part of a team to complete daily cleaning tasks, support special projects, and uphold our standards of quality, safety, and service. This role requires reliability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to follow established procedures while providing courteous, professional service.
What You'll Do
- Clean and maintain assigned guest rooms, common areas, and workspaces according to established standards and checklists.
- Perform tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting surfaces, and polishing furniture and fixtures.
- Change and make beds, replace linens and towels, and ensure all amenities are clean, stocked, and presented properly.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, bathtubs, mirrors, and floors.
- Remove trash and recyclables from rooms and common areas, following proper disposal and recycling procedures.
- Replenish supplies such as toiletries, tissue, soap, cleaning products, and other housekeeping items as needed.
- Inspect rooms and areas for damage, maintenance issues, or safety hazards and promptly report them to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Operate housekeeping equipment (e.g., vacuum cleaners, floor cleaners, carts) safely and maintain them in clean working condition.
- Adhere to daily schedules and productivity expectations while maintaining high quality standards.
- Respond to guest or staff requests for additional linens, amenities, or cleaning in a timely and professional manner.
- Secure rooms and storage areas, ensuring that keys, equipment, and supplies are properly stored and accounted for.
- Follow lost and found procedures when personal items are discovered in rooms or public areas.
- Support deep-cleaning projects, seasonal cleaning tasks, and special assignments as directed by supervisors.
- Work cooperatively with team members and supervisors to meet department goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial experience preferred but not always required; training may be provided.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness, organization, and safety.
- Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying up to [X] lbs (or as required by the role).
- Willingness to work a full-time hourly schedule, which may include weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

- Professional, courteous demeanor with a focus on respectful interaction with guests, visitors, and staff.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not always required depending on experience and location.
- Eligibility to work in the country of employment and ability to meet any additional site-specific requirements.
