Type of Employment: Full-Time Contractor Position with W-2 employment through Fidelity Partners
Work Arrangement: Primarily on-site; regular or ad-hoc telework may be authorized by the Government
Period of Performance: September 24, 2026 through March 24, 2029, including the base period and two
option periods
Estimated Compensation: $40.70 per hour
Clearance / Access: Unclassified; successful National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) / Level 1 Non-
Sensitive suitability required
Government-Furnished Equipment: NIH provides required on-site workspace, laptop/computer access,
telephone, email, software, network access, printers/copiers, credentials, and related office resources
Working Hours
Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays. Personnel will be assigned an eight (8)-hour shift
between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM Eastern Time.
Summary of Duties
The Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative support to executive management within
NINDS/DIR/IAMB. The position emphasizes executive scheduling, communications, confidential information,
office operations, program liaison support, travel and procurement coordination, and data/reporting activities.
Qualifications
• Must possess a college degree and four (4) years of related work experience OR a high school
diploma/GED and eight (8) years of related work experience.
• Must have experience performing administrative duties for executive management and supporting senior
leadership.
• Must possess advanced computer and internet-research skills and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook,
Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must have experience handling confidential and time-sensitive materials and preparing routine and
complex correspondence.
• Must demonstrate strong communication, calendar management, meeting coordination, data analysis,
organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a scientific research environment for a large Federal agency and comprehensive knowledge
of NIH culture and administrative processes are preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide high-level executive and program-office administrative support to NINDS/DIR/IAMB leadership.
• Manage complex calendars, meetings, appointments, correspondence, and time-sensitive executive
requirements.
• Handle confidential or sensitive documents and resolve administrative and clerical issues using sound
judgment.
• Prepare routine and advanced letters, memoranda, reports, spreadsheets, charts, pivot tables, tracking
tools, and other executive materials.
• Support Federal travel, procurement, personnel actions, technology-transfer activities, surveys, and
program liaison functions as assigned.
• Coordinate high-level meetings and gatherings and communicate effectively with all levels of management
and staff.
• Perform data manipulation, reporting, research, and information-management activities using NIH/NINDS
and Microsoft systems.
• Prepare biological materials for shipment when assigned and in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Comply with NIH/HHS privacy, information-security, training, and workplace requirements.
