Job Description:

This role will lead Mars Food & Nutrition North America's Strategic Revenue Management team, vision, and execution across all four pillars of SRM, including Strategic Pricing, Trade Promotion Excellence, Trade Term Management, and Mix for Growth across both the US and Canadian markets.  The role is tasked with continuing our SRM journey to drive greater efficiencies and create mutual value for Mars and our retailers as true category partners. The role will be responsible for leading trade spend governance process through the Pricing Council forum. The successful candidate will be a high caliber Account or Revenue Manager with the aptitude to think strategically and ability to forge strong relationships with Sales, Marketing and Finance to deliver required results. There is a need to be highly skilled in leveraging fact-based insights; and strong influencing skills at a senior level (SLT, NAFNLT) to turn these insights into action.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or relevant field required
  • MBA preferred
  • 7-10 years experience in consumer packaged goods industry required
  • Previous National Account Management, Sales Finance, or Category Management experience required
  • Previous Revenue Management experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of a P&L, and strong financial acumen
  • Advanced analytical ability with experience in process development & return on investment analysis
  • Channel knowledge preferred (Walmart, Costco, Kroger, etc.)


What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Lead the continued evolution of the strategic revenue management framework across US & Canadian Markets
  • Manage the strategic & tactical promotional planning - including simulation & recommendation of volume expectations, trade investment optimization, & incremental opportunity assessment
  • Evolution of tools & capabilities for use throughout NA Food & Nutrition segment - driving on-going engagement plans, analysis, & decision-making at category & brand levels
  • Leading the trade governance process, & systems associated with promotions & trade investments
  • Manage strategy on promotional guidance by Customer / Brand and historical ROI analysis by Customer / Brand
  • Key partner within Value Leadership workstream
  • Lead long term price strategy – owning our price rise process across total portfolio
  • Collaborate with Finance, SDL and Global SRM partners to develop IVCP plans, tracking annual progress and building strategy where gaps exist
  • Collaborate with SDL and Sales teams on annual planning process to deploy, enable and operationalize plans through S&OP process
  • Conduct annual pricing review with clear recommendations for key decision makers
  • Lead periodic Pricing Council forum for key trade spend governance tracking and decision making
  • Work cross functionally with Category & Marketing on the impact of pricing in relation to promotional effectiveness & trade spend management
  • Manage and evolve the key tools and equipment used to improve trade efficiency and sales mix
  • Partner with Marketing and Category on Price & Promo strategy for innovation launches
  • Lead training & development of National Account Managers In Trade/Promo Optimization, and Financial ROI analysis
  • Collaborate with SDL and Sales teams on annual planning process to deploy, enable and operationalize plans through S&OP process

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
