The Digitizer is responsible for digitizing embroidery logos and editing existing logos for samples and production of Custom headwear.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Utilize embroidery digitizing software to transform design files into production-ready stitch files. 
  • Collaborate and provide design insights to Sales & Design teams.
  • Support Embroidery Production & Sampling teams with stitch file corrections.
  • Develop strong working knowledge of Embroidery techniques on different fabric substrates.
  • Interact positively with co-workers under heavy workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective multi-tasking switching between daily, weekly and escalated priorities.

  • Excellent communicator (visual, written and verbal) and a creative thinker with the ability to use data to make informed decisions and effectively and professionally present information in one-on one situations with co-workers and/or supervisors.
  • Highly collaborative, able to establish and maintain relationships to influence and work cross-functionally. 
  • Excellent time management, multi-task oriented, organized and keen sense of personal accountability. 

 

Education and Qualifications

  • Degree in Graphic Design preferred.
  • Knowledge of Wilcom Embroidery Studio or experience with digital creation software including but not limited to Illustrator, Canva, Blender, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Maya.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

 

Physical/Mental Requirements

  • Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors.)
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position (seated) 80% of the day and occasionally reach, bend and move inside the office to access files and product.
  • Required to have close visual acuity to perform computer tasks and evaluate sample quality to identify errors.
  • This position frequently communicates with internal and external customers; candidates must be able to exchange accurate information in a clear manner.  
  • Ability to move 10-20 lbs occasionally throughout day.
