Beloit Health System is looking to add a Student Radiology Technologist to our Team!

  • Shift: Varied
  • Schedule: Hours between 6:30 am – 11:00 pm
  • Hours per week: Varied – Per Diem
  • Benefits Status: Not Eligible
  • Department: Radiology

Beloit Memorial Hospital is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Student Radiology Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. This position provides students currently enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technology program the opportunity to gain hands-on clinical experience in a hospital setting while working under the supervision of registered Radiologic Technologists and Radiologists. The Student Radiology Technologist will assist with patient care, imaging procedures, equipment preparation, and departmental operations while developing the knowledge and skills necessary for a successful career in medical imaging.

  • Assist registered Radiologic Technologists with diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and supplies for patient procedures.
  • Escort and position patients for imaging examinations under supervision.
  • Verify patient identification and maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service and compassionate patient care.
  • Assist with obtaining patient histories and preparing documentation as directed.
  • Support patient transfers and transportation using safe patient-handling techniques.
  • Learn and apply radiation safety principles and departmental protocols.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of imaging equipment and work areas.
  • Assist with image processing, PACS workflow, and clerical duties as assigned.
  • Participate in educational and training activities to enhance technical skills.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, safety procedures, and professional standards.

Job Requirements

  • Enrolled in final semester of an AMA accredited School of Radiologic Technology
  • Must become ARRT registered in Radiology and licensed in the state(s) you work within 90 days of graduation
  • Self-motivated and able to be flexible
  • Ability to problem-solve
  • Ability to interact well with customers
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • CPR certification within 90 days of hire
  • Reporting Relationship: Clinical Manager of Radiology. Clinical advisement is received from the Radiologists.
  • Must adhere to established Health System and Medical Imaging Department policies, rules, and regulations
  • Maintain ethical conduct and keep confidential personal and medical information about patients
