Shop Pipe Fabricator
The Shaw Group is seeking an experienced Shop Pipe Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong industrial pipe fabrication experience in a fast-paced shop environment, with the ability to accurately lay out, fit, align, and fabricate pipe assemblies and spools.
We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to safety and quality.
All candidates must take a craft assessment and successfully pass with 70% or more to be considered.Â

Responsibilities
- Fabricate and fit pipe spools and piping assemblies from isometric and spool drawings.
- Measure, lay out, cut, bevel, align, and fit pipe, fittings, flanges, and other components.
- Fabricate rolling offsets, mitered piping, branch connections, reducers, tees, and other complex configurations.
- Apply shop mathematics, geometry, and degrees/angles to pipe layout and fabrication.
- Work with multiple piping materials and alloys, including carbon steel, stainless steel, chrome, and other specialty alloys.
- Operate oxygen/acetylene cutting equipment, plasma cutters, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
- Safely work at heights and operate aerial work platforms when trained and authorized.
- Verify dimensions, alignment, orientation, and fit-up before welding.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of industrial pipe fabrication or pipe fitting experience.
- Strong experience in a pipe fabrication/spool shop.
- Ability to read and interpret isometric and spool drawings.
- Demonstrated knowledge of rolling offsets, mitered piping, angles, and pipe layout.
- Experience using oxygen/acetylene and plasma cutting equipment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, positive attitude, and willingness to work as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a high-volume industrial pipe fabrication shop.
- Experience working with multiple piping alloys.
- Previous tack welding experience.
- Ability to work at heights and experience with aerial work platforms.

Safety Apparel Requirements:
- Hard hat at ALL times (Company Provided) Can provide own if meets safety standards. WHITE hard hats are only allowed for Supervision/MGMT
- Long sleeved shirts (when performing ANY hot work)
- Steel Toe boots at ALL timeÂ
- Prescription glasses must meet ANSI Z87.1 standards with side shields (Company provided side shields)
