Tutor

Description

The Classroom Tutor is responsible for performing the following duties:

• Motivate and support students in achieving high levels of academic success.
• Maintain high behavioral expectations for all students.
• Provide targeted individual assistance and small-group tutoring.
• Communicate regularly with students and their support networks regarding academic progress.
• Collaborate with teachers and school administrators.
• Participate in required staff-development opportunities.
• Ensure the security and proper use of computer equipment and accessories.
• Comply with all school policies and procedures.

Reports To, Schedule, and Employment Status

Reports to: Principal

Employment status: Part-time

Work hours: 7:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m.

Requirements

• Demonstrated commitment to the mission and organizational goals of GEO Academies.
• Completion of at least two years of college or a minimum of 60 college credit hours.
• Minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0.
