Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Temperature Control Technician 2 based in Baton Rouge, LA.
You’ll perform maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, testing, and commissioning of commercial HVAC and temperature control equipment at customer locations and in our Baton Rouge service center. This is a hands-on field service role supporting customers throughout the area, including petrochemical and refinery environments.

What you’ll do as a Temperature Control Technician:
- Work approximately 70% in the field and 30% in the service center, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing HVAC and temperature control equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, commercial A/C systems and related equipment, including Trane chillers, MCI and SmartCool equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical and HVAC system issues using meters, schematics and appropriate diagnostic tools to identify failures and complete repairs.
- Set up, test and operate HVAC/chiller systems at customer locations, including applications where equipment is supported by temporary generator power.
- Provide safe, reliable service at customer locations, including petrochemical and refinery environments, while adhering to Aggreko safety and quality standards.
You are:
- An Temperature Control Technician with at least 1–2 years of chiller, commercial A/C or related HVAC service experience.
- EPA 608 certified with hands-on knowledge of refrigeration and HVAC systems.
- Comfortable performing electrical troubleshooting and using meters and schematics to diagnose equipment issues.
- Able to work independently in the field, troubleshoot problems and provide a high level of service in customer-facing environments.
- A valid driver’s license holder who is comfortable with local field travel and working in industrial environments.

- Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations as needed and be on standby for work outside regularly scheduled shifts.
- Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods and safely walk over uneven terrain.
- Must have the mobility and range of motion necessary to safely perform work from ground/floor level through full overhead level.
- Must have sufficient dexterity, hand-eye coordination and grip strength to safely use tools, stairs and ladders.
- Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, including lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs., pushing/pulling up to 80 lbs., climbing stairs and ladders, stooping, kneeling and squatting.
