About the Role:
Tsunami Restaurants in Baton Rouge, LA is looking for an energetic and passionate Server to join our team! Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests, providing a warm and welcoming dining experience from start to finish
- Present menus, answer questions, and make knowledgeable food and beverage recommendations
- Accurately take and relay food and drink orders to kitchen and bar staff
- Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner, ensuring order accuracy and guest satisfaction
- Monitor and attend to guest needs throughout the meal, including refills and additional requests
- Process payments and handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, service areas, and dining floor
- Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth service
Requirements:
- Previous serving or front-of-house restaurant experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first attitude
- Ability to multitask and stay composed in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills and experience handling cash and POS systems
- Must be able to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods of time
- Knowledge of food and beverage menus, including wine and cocktail pairings, is a plus
- Must meet minimum age requirements for serving alcohol in Louisiana
