Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Provide engineering support for the design, review, construction, maintenance, and commissioning of electric heat tracing (EHT) systems.
  • Assist in preparing engineering deliverables, including Construction Work Packages (CWPs), Bills of Material (BOMs), drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Support design reviews and verify that engineering work complies with customer specifications, company standards, applicable codes, and industry regulations.
  •  Participate in field walks, constructability reviews, and installation verification activities.
  • Collaborate with construction management to develop manpower plans, coordinate crew mobilization, and ensure field resources are available to support project schedules and execution goals.
  • Assist with troubleshooting field installation issues and recommend practical engineering solutions under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Support project execution by coordinating engineering activities with Project Managers, Project Engineers, customers, subcontractors, and field personnel.
  • Participate in change management activities by documenting technical changes and supporting cost and schedule impact assessments.
  • Develop technical knowledge of electric heat tracing products, systems, and applications.
  • Build positive working relationships with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders while delivering responsive technical support.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by following company and client safety requirements and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline required.
  • 2+ years of engineering, construction, or industrial project experience.
  • Experience in industrial construction, petrochemical, energy, manufacturing, or related industries preferred.
  • Exposure to electric heat tracing systems is considered an asset.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with scheduling or project management software (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, etc.).
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as required
