Position Overview
As a Lead Diesel Mechanic, you will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet is always ready to deliver to our clients. You’ll use your expertise in diagnostics and vacuum truck maintenance to keep our operations running smoothly and safely. In this lead role, you’ll mentor fellow mechanics, provide technical guidance, and help manage workflow. If you are an experienced diesel mechanic with strong leadership skills and a commitment to quality, we want to hear from you.

Essential Functions
- Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel vehicles (including vacuum trucks and other equipment)
- Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions related to engines, transmissions, clutches, suspension, steering, and more
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems and components
- Oversee and mentor other team members, provide technical guidance, and assist with scheduling and workflow management
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance tasks, such as oil changes
- Inspect vehicles and equipment to ensure safe operation
- Test-drive vehicles
- Accurately document issues found and repair steps taken
- Ensure all work meets safety and company standards

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Diesel Mechanic is required
- Diagnostics experience is a must
- Must have your own tools
- Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred)
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is required
- Clean driving record for the past 3 years
- Must pass a background check and drug test
- Strong communication skills

Pay
- $35 to $45 per hour

Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm (After-hours emergency calls as needed)
