Job Description

The Recreation Therapist is responsible for assessing patient’s leisure and recreational activities, providing age and developmentally appropriate therapy groups and establishing behavioral treatment goals in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Lakeside Behavioral Health.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

 

Education:  Bachelor’s in Recreation Therapy preferred or Bachelor’s in field of Art, Music or Exercise/Fitness required.  CTRS or Licensed in Specialty Therapy preferred.

 

Experience:   One year experience in working with a mental health population.

 

Licensure/Certification:  CTRS or Licensed in Specialty Therapy preferred.

 

Knowledge:  Prefer knowledge of group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management.
