Position Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees the storage and distribution operations. Supervise employees engaged in receiving, storing, issue, shipment, and distribution of a variety of bin and bulk materials, equipment, and commodities using automated and manual material moving equipment, devices, and systems. Plans the use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials based on projected workload on weekly or monthly bases.

Essential Functions of the Position

  • Receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard.
  • Establishes deadlines, priorities, and work sequences IAW general work schedules, methods, and policies established by the Site Manager and/or Alternate Site Manager.
  • Redirects workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work and to accommodate daily workload fluctuations.
  • Conducts planning of current and future work schedules, providing workload data, estimates, information on staffing needs, and recommendations as to the scheduling of projected work.
  • Ensures work is done properly and efficiently IAW the terms and condition of the contract. Uses WMS and other Government Data Systems to perform the requirements in the PWS.
  • Experience shall include a minimum of three (3) years of experience in distribution and warehousing using WMS or equivalent automated WMS within the past five (5) years.
  • Performs other relevant duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise other staff on-site in daily routine work functions.

Physical Demands

  • Required to walk, stand, sit, and move about the property for long periods of time.
  • Required to performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms and legs and moving the entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, stooping to handle materials.

Work Environment

  • Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible.
  • Noise level can range from minimal to intense.
  • Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid California Driver License.
  • Must have warehousing experience.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to multitask and demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Must be reliable, responsible, and able to fulfill obligations.

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check.
