Starlight Assisted Living is looking for a caring, dependable, team- oriented person for the position of Team Lead. The Team Lead will play a significant role on our management team by promoting a positive environment for our staff and residents. The Team Lead will help to manage the daily operations and deliver care services to our residents. Ideal candidate will have experience working in assisted living, excellent organizational and communication skills enjoy motivating team member to give their best. Starlight Assisted Living is a privately owned and professionally managed 15 bed assisted living community caring for older adults with physical frailties and/or dementia.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with care staff and Director to implement individual service plans.
  • Review 24 hour report and wellness monitoring, following up on noted concerns, and communicate to appropriate parties.
  • Participate in hiring and training employees and maintain consistent schedule ensuring adequate staffing.
  • Build rapport with residents, their families, and staff through excellent communication and follow through.
  • Help facilitate and coordinate details related to move-ins including room readiness, completion of admission paperwork, updating of rosters, schedules and assignments.
  • Provide daily physical care of residents, including showering, grooming, and other personal hygiene and assistance needs
  • Facilitate and encourage participation in life enrichment programs
  • Dispense medications to residents and maintain accurate medication administration records
  • Respond to emergency situations, communicate and document as indicated
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent attendance record
  • CBRF certificates and/or Certified Nursing Assistant certificate required
  • Minimum one year of caregiving and medication administration experience required
  • Experience working with persons with dementia preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience is a plus
