The Process Improvement Specialist will play a critical role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of their assigned areas/departments. This position is responsible for analyzing current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to optimize performance, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE:

1. Three (3) years of direct experience in process improvement related to optimizing business processes or strategies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

2. Familiarity with Epic Systems.

  • Conduct thorough analysis of existing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.

  • Evaluate, map, design, and create business process flows to identify process improvement opportunities and eliminate waste.

  • Support initiatives that drive quality, cost, productivity and service delivery projects to completion using process improvement methodologies.

  • Gather and analyze data to understand process performance and identify trends.

  • Develop and propose innovative solutions to improve process efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Lead the implementation of process improvement initiatives, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

  • Monitor the performance of implemented solutions and make necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful implementation of process improvements.

  • Provide training and support to staff on new processes and improvements.

  • Prepare and present reports on process improvement initiatives and outcomes to senior management.

  • Demonstrate a strong desire to learn new concepts, tools and business practices and following through on tasks and assignments.

Ability to work independently or cooperatively as a team member. 

Ability to adapt to various workloads and assignments.

Ability to work with multi-disciplinary groups and facilitates meetings.       

Must have reading and comprehension ability.

Must be able to type.

Possess good oral and written communication skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks.

Must have independent decision-making ability.

Ability to work in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment must be flexible. 

Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
